Connecting
How do I connect for the first time?
Open the app and tap the connect button. iOS shows a system dialog asking permission to add a VPN configuration, and you need to allow it once. After that, connecting takes a single tap. The configuration stays on the device until you remove it.
The app will not connect
Work through these in order, they cover almost every case:
- Check that your internet works with the VPN off, by opening any website.
- Try a different server location. A single location can be full or under maintenance.
- Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data. Some corporate, hotel and school networks block VPN protocols entirely.
- Turn the connection off and on again, then restart the device.
- Remove the VPN configuration in Settings → General → VPN & Device Management, then reconnect from the app so it installs a fresh one.
If none of that helps, write to us with your device model, your iOS version and the location you tried.
Why does iOS ask to add a VPN configuration?
Because that is the only way any VPN app can route traffic on iOS. The profile tells the system where to send your traffic while the tunnel is on. It is added by the system dialog, not silently, and it does nothing when the VPN is off.
How do I remove the VPN profile?
Open Settings → General → VPN & Device Management → VPN, tap the information icon next to CyberGuard VPN and choose to delete the configuration. This removes the profile but does not cancel a subscription, which is a separate step described below.
My connection feels slow
A tunnel always adds some overhead, and the further away the server is, the more noticeable it gets. Pick a location close to you, check whether your speed is also low with the VPN off, and try another location at a different time of day. If one specific location is consistently slow for you, tell us which one and roughly when you use it.
Subscription and payments
How do I cancel my subscription?
Cancelling goes through Apple, not through the app:
- Open Settings on your device and tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select CyberGuard VPN.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.
Do it at least 24 hours before the current period ends, otherwise the next period is already charged. You keep access until the period you paid for runs out.
I deleted the app but I am still being charged
Deleting an app does not cancel its subscription. The subscription lives in your Apple Account, so it keeps renewing until you turn renewal off in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Follow the cancellation steps above and the charges stop.
How do I get a refund?
All purchases go through the App Store, so Apple decides refunds. A request is made from the purchase history of the Apple Account you bought with. We cannot issue or reverse a charge ourselves, and we cannot see your payment method.
If the reason is that something is broken, write to us as well. We would rather fix it.
I paid but the app still says I have no subscription
Open the app and use the option to restore purchases, which asks Apple again for your entitlement. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you bought from, including the right country store. If it still does not appear, send us the date of purchase and the plan you chose.
Where do I see the price?
On the purchase screen in the app, before you confirm anything. Prices differ by country, and any introductory offer states its length and what it turns into. The conditions are also written out in the Terms of Use.
Privacy questions
Do you keep logs of what I do online?
No. We do not record the sites and services you open through the tunnel, and we do not inspect or store the contents of your traffic. Our servers do process the address your device connects from and basic session data, because a tunnel cannot be built without it, and that is kept briefly and separately. The full picture is in the Privacy Policy.
Does the app scan my device or check it for viruses?
No. CyberGuard VPN is a VPN client. It does not scan your device, it does not detect viruses or malware, and it does not monitor your battery, storage or system performance. It has no access to your photos, contacts, messages or files and never asks for it.
Does a VPN make me anonymous?
No, and we would rather say so. It changes the route your traffic takes and the address that sites see. It does not sign you out of accounts, remove cookies you already carry, or stop a service from recognising you once you log in. Treat it as a tunnel, not a cloak.
Do you need an account or my email address?
No. There is no registration, no password and no profile. The only time we have your email address is when you write to support from it.
How do I have my data deleted?
Write to support@sun-vpn.online and we will delete the support correspondence we hold for you. Since the app has no accounts, there is usually no other record tied to you, and connection data is deleted automatically within 30 days. See your rights in the Privacy Policy.

If your question is not answered above, send it over. We read every message and reply by email.
Three things make an answer faster: your device model and iOS version, what you expected to happen, and what happened instead. For anything about a purchase, add the plan and roughly when you bought it.
Email us support@sun-vpn.onlineRefunds are decided by Apple, so those go through the Apple Account you bought with rather than through us. For cancellation, use Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device.
